Moscow Food Tasting & Walking Tour

Moscow Underground 3-hour Guided Tour

You will be picked up from your hotel or apartment in Moscow and once at location you will be introduced to the skills of snowmobiling in a safe and informative training environment preparing you for the experience of the snowmobile ride. The training will be based on your current skills and knowledge and your goal for the experience. Once training and orientation is completed your guide will lead you through the magnificent terrain, including old growth forests.

Private Tour of Kolomenskoye Tsar’s Estate and Wooden Palace

The local guide that will accompany you on this tour will begin by picking you up at your hotel, and at the arrival to Kolomenskoye you will begin with a short walk towards Ascension Church which was built in 1532 to commemorate the birth of Ivan the Terrible. The Church was built out of stone, which is uncommon for Russia, and is included on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

The tour will continue through the beautiful, fairytale-like park, to the Wooden Palace, a favourite residence of notable figures such as Tsar Alexis I and Elizabeth and Peter the Great. Originally built in the 17th century it was reconstructed to its present form in 2008 to 2010, and is now turned into a museum, which your guide will take you through.

After enjoying the palace the tour will continue through the park to a local maker of Medovukha, a traditional Slavic honey-based alcoholic beverage, a popular drink among the Russian nobility back in the 18th century and it will be the perfect end to the tour. Your guide will then be happy to recommend a place to go eat or shop for souvenirs, or you can choose to go back to your hotel or take a stroll through the park.

The Best of Russian Art: Tretyakov Gallery Private Tour

This privately guided tour of the Tretyakov Gallery, a world famous gallery housing the world’s largest collection of Russian art, begins with your guide meeting you in your hotel lobby and then you’ll either walk or go by metro to the gallery, depending on where your hotel is located in regards to it.

Russia has a rich history of fine art and this gallery was founded in 1856 by Pavel Tretyakov, a wealthy merchant and patron of the arts, who had been collecting unique artworks, supporting Russian artists, for many years.

Here you can explore the outstanding works of painters such as Ilya Repin, Ivan Shishkin and Viktor Vasnetsov, including Vasnetsov’s magnificent masterpiece “Bogatyrs”.

The tour is 2-3 hours long, but you can easily spend the whole day here, or combine this tour with a guided tour through ancient streets and admire the diverse architectural styles of the Zamoskvorechye district, located on the southern shore of the Moscow River, for which this part of Moscow is famous. Afterwards you can spend some time in the Gorky Park, one of the most popular places in Moscow.

Zvenigorod Day Trip and Russian Countryside

This full day, 9 hours, tour will take you from Moscow to Zvenigorad, one of the oldest towns in the Moscow region. The drive will offer you views of the beautiful landscape along the Moscow River, and includes stops at a few old churches found on the way.

Once in Zvenigorod you get to explore the medieval center and the 14th century Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, and you will get to try the famous Russian summer drink called kvaas, if you visit during the summertime, and the famous Russian pastries called pirozhki.

After a lunch break in a café, where you will have the chance to try Russian or Soviet dishes, you can visit the Museum of Russian Dessert. The tour ends with a visit to the Ershova Estate, which is a gorgeous place to walk around and enjoy nature at, before returning back to Moscow.
